Position Description: Responsible for supporting the Commissioning Program execution at multiple client sites primarily within the NY Region. Scope of Role: Support the commissioning engineer and senior manager in the execution of the commissioning tasks on various projects. Key Responsibilities: Help to lead and manage the execution of high profile and complex building commissioning, retro-commissioning projects Provide hands-on field expert level support of construction and functional testing phases of new or newly renovated building commissioning projects Assist the investigative phase of retro-commissioning projects to identify deficiencies and appropriate solutions May attend client meetings at high profile accounts and demonstrate appropriate level of technical capabilities. Support the organization and preparation of the project through assembling needed project information, tools and work documents to industry standards in timely manner Troubleshoot system operational issues that impact system operation and energy efficiency Oversee and perform Field Observations to meet the proposal and client expectations Perform design reviews at various stages of design development, Review HVAC, controls and/or electrical plans and specifications Review and confirm Basis of Design (BOD) and Owner Project Requirements (OPR) Perform submittals reviews and prepare commissioning test forms and equipment Complete commissioning test forms and equipment checklists Independently or with senior engineer, perform field inspections, equipment startups, test and balance activities, and functional performance tests Prepare commissioning test forms, equipment checklists and commissioning reports and maintain commissioning issues lists Responsible for the technical quality and accuracy of work provided under the guidance of senior engineer Responsible for personal time management on assigned projects Planning for project activities and keeping accurate records of project activities Communication with other staff including Engineers and Administration Staff Travel within the NY region up to 100% of the time. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Bachelor Degree in appropriate field with 0-4 years of experience supporting a facility operations account or with the identification, analysis, and/or implementation of energy efficiency projects or programs is preferred. Demonstrated working knowledge or interest in the operation of HVAC, Boilers, Chillers and Control Systems is preferred. Additional Qualifications (Preferred): Vocational School four year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field. 3 years of industry experience or five years experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry. Generally required knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques. Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Aramark and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner. Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people. Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site. PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC related software preferred.
