We are looking for a well-rounded marketing professional with deep content creation & distribution expertise that has a passion for and experience with launching new products and building a brand from the ground up. This entrepreneurial, hands-on individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a content strategy that advances our brand narrative and critically supports paid marketing campaigns 2019 that offers investment/savings products, content and tools to disciplined, engaged investors that value the steady approach to savings growth.
The VP/Director of Content will also be responsible for press and social media content for parent company?s sports sponsorships and philanthropy efforts in sports and education.
Scope will include strategy and administration for the brands? social media properties (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) and leadership of PR and reputation management efforts. This position reports to the Chief Experience Officer and works hand in hand with the Digital Marketing team responsible for media buying and lead and customer development.
Earned & Content Strategies ? Translate our brand voice into a content-rich paid and earned communication strategy for distribution via social media, paid content and traditional PR channels. ? Deploy efforts in coordination with traditional and digital media tactics to maximize business KPI impact, i.e. Brand awareness, Site engagement and Sales
Social Media and Paid Content ? Lead social media strategy and execution, including creating a regular schedule of relevant, original, high-quality content and promoting that content through social and paid content channels ? Expand social following and create programs to cultivate leads, drive word of mouth promotion, and drive site visits and engagement ? Advise on social media best practices for customer support
Public Relations and Corporate Communications ? Work closely with our PR Agency to develop and manage public relations campaigns that will deliver broad coverage of the company and create positive brand awareness ? Attract and build relationships with key media outlets ? Work closely with our PR Agency to lead reputation management efforts across print and digital channels
Global ? Develop a deep understanding of the retail investing, our target consumers and business goals to develop relevant PR / communication strategies ? Leverage relevant tracking and analytics tools to collect insights and optimize campaigns) ? Manage creative agencies to develop brand-aligned, impactful creative assets that will successfully attract and engage prospects ? Develop and manage relationships with relevant internal stakeholders as needed, including Product, Legal and Compliance, Engineering, and Operations / Customer Support
Experience Requirements ? Self-starter with the passion and ability to build content best practices for our brands from the ground up ? A strong desire to meaningfully contribute to a growing organization and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile, deadline-oriented and accountable culture ? 10+ years in communications including experience with social media / community management, public relations, ideally for high growth / startup brands, with a track record of success ? Deep understanding of branding, corporate communications, and storytelling in digital and other formats ? An eye for detail that ensures all communications are aligned with brand and messaging strategies, and assets are developed to spec for implementation across channels ? Ability to add value in conceptual creative discussions as well as drive the execution and optimization of messaging tactics ? Interest/ability in starting lean and building a team over time ?
