The Executive Talent Team provides Talent support to all functions within the Executive, working closely with the Talent Executive, HR Services and Regional Talent teams on the execution of Talent priorities, initiatives and operational people support and service delivery. Job Summary: The Human Resources (HR) Project Manager is a role within the Executive Talent Team (ETT) providing consultative support on specific strategic HR initiatives for Global Technology within EY. The role consults on assigned HR related programs and processes such as those supporting technology transformations and organizational re- design within various teams as well as other talent initiatives/ activities in regions which EY Technology operates. This role requires a solid understanding of organizational design and workforce planning as well as a deep understanding of Information Technology, business and talent agendas within large scale global organizations. The role is an individual contributor acting across a variety of global regions within a virtual setting to develop the appropriate partnership and drive, through thought leadership, as well as thoughtful decisions on assigned activities. The role is managed by the Strategic Talent Consultant for EY Technology. Essential Functions of the Job:
Supports and/or coordinates the planning and execution of specific strategic transformation programs and initiatives as assigned: Assesses the requirements of specific projects or plans. Prepares the key steps within the project plan as well as the resources and partnerships required for execution. Develops and drives the execution of the assigned project plans or consults on the planning and viability of actions within other team initiatives as requested. Provides for the required activities to map roles within to conduct organizational design to align roles with desired capability model. Supports select global processes and program integration and implementations as assigned maintianing allegiance to the project plans and timing for deliverables. Evaluates the results of project plans under the role s direction. Supports the asessment of all other intitiaves as requested. Notes best practices and suggest improvements as identified.
Serves as an alternate contact point for specific leaders/managers on all assigned initiatives.
Develop and maintains an in-depth knowledge of the Global Technology Teams within EY to support though leadership and partnership abilities.
Maintains a solid understanding of people principles, firm and business objectives and needs analysis to effectively conduct needs assessments and execute on all assigned deliverables within EY Technology.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Solid background in consulting disciplines inclusive of delivering complex technology transformations, organization design, workforce planning, organizational change management, and communications
Solid background leading project and resource management for large transformations with cross-functional teams
Solid advanced interpersonal skills to engage, as a thought leader, senior executives of the firm, in cross business discussions within a matrixed, geographically dispersed organization and to build a solid network of people of influence. Uses these relationships to manage expectations, challenge insightfully, properly influencing thinking and delegate directives to advance the project plan.
Well defined consultative skills to conduct effective questioning, hone in on key issues to gather appropriate information, formulate ideas as well as present those ideas clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization including senior and/or executive management. Proposes all options and suggestions based on a solid understanding of people principles, firm and business objectives and needs analysis.
Strong analytical and problem solving ability to escalate and negotiate complex and conflicting issues, handle multiple and shifting priorities across a broad spectrum of people and cultures and to drive both decisions and solutions that are financially sound and aligned to objectives.
Advanced oral, presentation and written communication skills in the English language. Exhibits the ability to adapt communication style to the style of others, developing rapport and staying calm under pressure. Able to build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organization to support and sustain appropriate activities within an assigned deliverable.
Strong Microsoft Office experience, predominantly Excel and PowerPoint.
Advanced Project and Time Management Skills. Able to manage teams effectively within a specified project & time frame
Supervisory Responsibilities: The role operates as an individual contributor and as such is not expected to be assigned staff but may be asked to lead team discussions and efforts within and between EY Technology Teams. The role is expected to exhibit self-discipline and autonomy in all work efforts and is generally guided by a senior HR Business Partner. Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 8 or more years of related experience
In depth Consulting Experience e.g. involved in / delivering / managing strategic talent / people initiatives.
Experience in an area/cross-border role preferred.
Experience developing analytics and reporting dashboards
Delivery of strategic workforce advisory services including IT support models for enterprise software applications
Organization design and talent planning for technology organization
Development of role profiles, career progressions, and competency alignment
The role may also require the periodic allocation of additional time to support multiple or escalating demands or to accommodate teams and leaders in other time zones.
