LINE COOKSNEEDED - Open Kitchen, Guest Facing, Multiple Positions

We are seeking talented and experienced Line Cooks for a new restaurant opening.

Weekend availability required. Candidates should have good references and a clean background as we do a background check.

Responsibilities to include, but not be limited to the following:
1 year kitchen experience
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Proper knife skills and proper/safe usage of equipment within the kitchen
Working knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures for the Metropolitan Museum, Restaurant Associates & the NYC Department of Health
Ability to read and understand recipes
Possess the ability to manage one s own production and work time
Ability to execute prep lists within designated time frames
Ability to follow directions, recipes, and understand production levels
Fluent in English
Must be able to communicate effectively with chef/supervisors as well as associates with in the kitchen
Ability to set up and maintain a high volume station
Candidate must be able to efficiently cook a variety of meat and poultry products using proper culinary techniques
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to control the flow of service during very busy meal periods
Candidate must maintain service and hospitality standards, answer questions, and possess food knowledge
